DFI - Whakamutunga

Kare e kore kua tae mātou ki te mutunga o tēnei mahi mo Manaiakalani! Ka tuku mihi aroha ki a koutou katoa kua tae mai ki te whakaako me te noho i waenganui ia mātou.
It has been amazing, all the learning, creating and sharing has definitely increased my confidence and knowledge when working in technology and a Google world. I learnt so many new skills and even more about online education and what can be done. I am excited for what is coming. I want to make note of the rewindable learning, it has been the most helpful to me in this course. Having all the DFI timetable set out and organised I think has made this not so overwhelming also as I could see everything, had somewhere to look through for what I was looking for (sometimes cntrl+f couldn't work as I didn't know what I was actually looking for!) All the slides, presentations were really detailed and easy to follow along with and or alone. i now love having all of this information at my fingertips, I just really want to make sure I will use it all in some way.  Moving forward, I feel my blog will be used to reflect on my teaching and what learning is taking place in the classroom too.

This afternoon we did a section on creating where we would screen record talking through the lesson on the slides provided. We had to select one of the Cybersmart areas and create a movie talking through one of the lesson templates, Smart Money - Buying online.

  • What are the key messages / learning intentions in this lesson? Giving buying a go, but remembering some things to keep you safe, and make sure you have done your research on what your wanting to purchase.

  • How have/could you personalise this lesson for your learners? And what would it look like on your learning site? Either by simplifying it for younger classes, or choosing something for them to price check, compare pricing across retail stores.

  • Are there opportunities within one of your current lessons to integrate these cybersmart concepts? Definitely always, we currently have our own kawa of care to follow.
